Let's understand why the TRF or Test Report Form is important in IELTS and what it tells us about your English skills.
What is the Test Report form?
The Test Report Form, or TRF, is a document containing your IELTS results. Each candidate receives only one official TRF, valid for two years.
How many copies of TRF do you get?
You'll typically receive one copy of your TRF. However, if you're applying to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA), you can request two copies.
What does TRF include?
Personal details: Name, date of birth, nationality, and photo
Test details: Date, location, and format (Academic or General Training)
Your English skills: Scores in Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, and an overall band score (0-9)
Test Report form verification: Unique reference number for verification
Usage of TRF
TRF can be used for various purposes, including applications for study programs, immigration, and employment opportunities that require proof of English language proficiency.
